ADVANCED TRAINING PROGRAMME
The Fashion Product Advanced Training Programme is designed with an explicit progression from creative and managerial processes related to the apparel supply chain, with a focus on luxury and ready-to-wear, to the exploration of different business models, industries, consumers and price segments (fast fashion, slow fashion, accessories, sportswear, streetwear, menswear, bridal, etc.), also evaluating the opportunities offered by virtual fashion and the digital transformation, to land to the processes related to the distribution of fashion products, as retail merchandising, buying and omnichannel strategies.
The course is characterized by a balanced mix of creative, technical, cultural and managerial subjects. Trainees become aware of the creative processes related to the development of fashion collections since the beginning of the first year, when they deep dive into the working methodologies of fashion designers, as creative research, trend research and visual communication. The ability to fine tune with fashion designers, understanding their languages and expressive techniques, represents a key asset for professionals working in the product area.
To this end, the course program includes fashion design lessons, technical drawing, pattern making, textile manipulation laboratories, 3D and AI assisted product design. Such expertise is fundamental to mature an in-depth knowledge of material science, garment construction and more in general fashion technology, enabling students to evaluate the impact of different product solutions in term of costs, sustainability and operations.
