Alessandro
Lastella
Alessandro Lastella, I’M Alumnus who studied a Bachelor’s course in Fashion Design at IM Milano Fashion, currently works as Senior Menswear Designer at Fiorucci.
With a Bachelor’s degree in architecture at some point in his life Alessandro Lastella decided that his drawings were deemed to express something more immediate and fleeting rather than the solidity of architecture.
After graduating from Istituto Marangoni in 2013, some of his early work experiences include a 2-year collaboration with Umit Benan and a position as product developer at Damir Doma luxury clothing brand. In 2014 Alessandro launched a personal menswear collection presented in St. Petersburg and Shanghai, which was then developed with the addition of some womenswear pieces. During his career, Alessandro also worked with Neil Barrett as a Menswear Designer, where he was able to combine the ‘nostalgic mysticism’ of his style with the luxury minimal style of the English brand. Designing garments gives him the freedom to constantly come up with new ideas and innovate with greater prospect, although he proudly maintains the technical discipline acquired during his training at Istituto Marangoni
