Andrea Pompilio grew up in a highly creative environment, his father being an architect, his mother a passionate painter and hailing from a family traditionally involved in the clothing industry. Born in 1973, Andrea got in touch with the fashion system at an early age, at his grandmother’s store in Pesaro (Marche) and started being familiar with fabrics and trends. Still a child he decides that he will become a designer. After graduating at the Art Institute in Pesaro, he moved to Milano to continue his studies at Istituto Marangoni where he obtained a master’s course in Fashion Design. He then collaborated with renowned Italian and international brands, such as Alessandro dell’Acqua, Prada, CalvinKlein and YvesSaint Laurent; these experiences enabled him to develop a personal and sophisticated style, extremely focused on quality and details, blending a rigorous sartorial character with a contemporary urban feel. In January 2010 Andrea was ready to start a personal path, hence launched his first namesake men’s collection for season AW 2010/2011. Within two years the brand has been recognized by both the Italian and international press as one of the most remarkable and innovative realities in menswear. In June 2017 Rossignol Apparel tapped him to design a capsule collection line under the urban Studio line for season AW 2018/2019. Andrea Pompilio’s collections are distributed world wide at some of the world’s most prestigious multi brand stores.
Since 2017 he is the creative director of Onitsuka Tiger, a sportswear brand, and in 2018 he also co-founded and took on the creative leadership of the brand A PERSONAL NOTE 73, a high-street menswear brand created in partnership with the Chinese group JNBY Fashion Group.
