Week 1
The start of the course introduces fashion drawing and design techniques followed by an analysis of the founding principles of developing a fashion collection including: silhouette, colour charts, fabrics and accessories, right through to the design and creation of outfits. Participants are then introduced to the silhouette, colour palettes, the appropriate use of fabrics, and the principle financial considerations of designing for fashion.
Week 2
Starting from creative research to foster personal inspiration, participants are guided to develop basic silhouettes and coordinate outfits with fabric and colour selection. The focus on trend research looks into its origins together with market relevance, and a brief analysis on how trends influence a contemporary collection.
Week 3
Based on inspiration linked to a selected theme, participants put together a basic fashion design collection supported by appropriate technical information, including colour charts, inspirational materials or mood board. Participants put into practice the acquired knowledge from the previous weeks and prepare a presentation of their work as a basic collection portfolio, to receive a final holistic critique.

Dieser kurze Kurs bietet eine Einführung in die Grundlagen des Fashion Designs, wie man Ideen formuliert und sie in eine visuelle Darstellung umsetzt. Die Teilnehmer/Teilnehmerinnen werden in die wichtigsten Begriffe des Fashion Designprozesses, in grundlegende Zeichen- und Illustrationstechniken sowie in die Untersuchung von Trends eingeführt. Der Kurs befasst sich auch mit der Rolle des Fashion Designers, wobei die Teilnehmer/Teilnehmerinnen im Rahmen eines berufsbezogenen Lernansatzes an der kreativen Recherche für eine individuelle Designkollektion arbeiten.
Woche 1
Zu Beginn des Kurses werden Techniken des Fashion Drawings und -Designs vorgestellt, gefolgt von einer Analyse der Grundprinzipien für die Entwicklung einer Fashion Collection, einschließlich: Silhouette, Farbkarten, Stoffe und Accessoires, bis hin zum Entwurf und der Kreation von Outfits. Anschließend werden die Teilnehmer/Teilnehmerinnen mit der Silhouette, den Farbpaletten, der angemessenen Verwendung von Stoffen und den grundsätzlichen finanziellen Erwägungen beim Fashion Design vertraut gemacht.
Woche 2
Ausgehend von einer kreativen Recherche zur Förderung der persönlichen Inspiration werden die Teilnehmer/Teilnehmerinnen angeleitet, grundlegende Silhouetten zu entwickeln und die Outfits durch die Auswahl von Stoffen und Farben zu koordinieren. Der Schwerpunkt Trendforschung befasst sich mit den Ursprüngen, der Marktrelevanz und einer kurzen Analyse, wie Trends eine aktuelle Kollektion beeinflussen.
Woche 3
Auf der Grundlage von Inspirationen zu einem ausgewählten Thema stellen die Teilnehmer/Teilnehmerinnen eine Basiskollektion für Fashion Design zusammen, unterstützt durch entsprechende technische Informationen, einschließlich Farbkarten, inspirierende Materialien oder Moodboards. Die Teilnehmer/Teilnehmerinnen setzen das in den vorangegangenen Wochen erworbene Wissen in die Praxis um und bereiten eine Präsentation ihrer Arbeiten in Form einer Basis-Kollektionsmappe vor, um eine abschließende ganzheitliche Kritik zu erhalten.
