In a completely digital and innovative format, the Design Degree of Istituto Marangoni of this year will present, throughout a special and new footpath, the best 3D projects of the students of School of Design, celebrating and enhancing their educational path and personal growth.
For each learning area, Interior Design, Product Design e Visual Design, 3 projects were selected that users can admire thanks to a virtual and immersive experience with many video contents, as well as 3D rendering and short videos.
The students of Interior Design were invited to carefully reflect on the living contemporary theme, with a look towards future scenarios and to question itself, providing creative projects, on the progressive and depth transformation of the house and its spaces in the face of new one technologies and radical changes in habits.
“This is not a house” by Alessia Elefante is a residential project that represents a living concept interpreting three themes: the choice of the Alexander McQueen brand, the analysis of new ways of living and the “Shape Shifting” trend. Carolina Gaudino through “Latibule” tells about an interior project with a simple and comfortable design but at the same time deeply sophisticated and modeled on the person, capable of reflecting the soul of those who live it.
“Beyond Phisical Borders” by Viviana Gallo starts from the choice of the Jil Sander brand to analyze a concept of unconventional, authentic and uncontaminated beauty, translated into the interiors of a future house apparently neutral and essential.
As regards Product Design, the first project selected is “NOME – The Privacy Manager Watch”by Leonardo Cavalluzzi, who developed an alternative smartwatch concept designed for increase the daily experience. Nichita Curilenco‘s “Celare Phone” project focuses on the problem of people’s total dependence on technology, especially smartphones, which is negatively affecting life on a psychological, social, health and private level.
“Upcyciling Perception” by Patrick Gelse Medina, deal with the theme of sustainable production within companies in the furniture sector, with a focus on the production of plastic which has been particularly damaging to the environment in the last two decades.
Finally, the Degree Project launched within the Visual Design area was born from the dissertation: a reflection in complete freedom to give space to one’s own technical skills with a view to imagine new identities and visions of brands, advertising or in the editorial field. As initial ideas, the Phygital frontier, Techlash and Big Data were chosen.
Alice Braglia designs “Once Upon a Lime”, a board game with the aim of spending quality time away from technology. With “How Food Makes Us Human”, Constanza Coscia has created a protest campaign against food waste. Finally, Giovanni Gridelli‘s “Neotual” is a platform that allows all fashion addicts to virtually customize the garments of their favorite luxury streetwear brands.
The Next Connection will be visible from October 19, 6 pm, within the Vogue Platform • House of Istituto Marangoni, a digital platform developed in partnership with Vogue Italia to celebrate the 85th anniversary of Istituto Marangoni and which will feature the best projects from the various study areas of the Group’s nine international schools.
