Istituto Marangoni Milano is launching an exclusive new mentorship program in collaboration with Missoni, the iconic fashion house known for its vibrant colors, intricate textures, and Italian craftsmanship. This initiative challenges all first-year undergraduate Fashion students to reinterpret the brand’s DNA through an innovative creative project.
The mentorship program was introduced through an inspiring talk featuring Luca Missoni, Artistic Director of the Missoni Archive, and Alberto Caliri, the brand’s Creative Director, moderated by Alessandro Castiglioni, senior curator and Deputy Director of the MAGA Museum, as well as a professor at Istituto Marangoni. During the event, Luca Missoni guided students through the brand’s fascinating history and evolution, while Alberto Caliri encouraged young creatives to immerse themselves in Missoni’s rich visual and stylistic heritage, reinterpreting it with fresh perspectives and innovative proposals.
Titled Kaleidoscope, the project serves as a creative laboratory where color, shape, and composition become tools for exploring Missoni’s identity in a contemporary context. Students will have the opportunity to work in various fields such as fashion design, visual communication, accessories, digital fashion, and more—transforming the concept of multiplicity and metamorphosis into a dynamic interplay between tradition and innovation.
This is a unique opportunity for students to test their creativity and engage with one of the most iconic brands of Made in Italy fashion.
We can't wait to see their visions come to life!
