Istituto Marangoni Milano and Christian Boaro for a special Industry Project
Christian Boaro launched his brand, CHB, in 2020, presenting his vision of fashion and beauty. Through his manifesto collection, Boaro outlined the brand's aesthetic based on the duality between the male and female wardrobe, exploring the contrast between strength and fragility.
For his Industry Project, Boaro asked Fashion Design Womenswear & Menswear Master’s students to design a dedicated collection for a celebrity of their choice, consisting of 6 looks for different occasions. The difficulty lay in striking a balance between each designer's personality and CHB's distinctive aesthetic. The students were invited to explore the different facets of men's and women's wardrobes, with a focus on the choice of fabrics, cuts and details.

The brief for the Fashion Styling, Creative Direction & Digital Content Master’s students, on the other hand, engaged the students in creating a unique styling for a celebritiy, interpreting CHB's vision in such a way as to highlight the personality and elegance of each star. The focus was on aesthetic excellence and, again, the ability to communicate the concept of duality between strength and fragility through clothing and image.
Through this Industry Project the students were challenged to step out of their comfort zone, trying to redefine the boundaries of their aesthetics and break down stereotypes. The final projects received high prise from Christian Boaro, who provided feedback on the students’ choice of fabrics, which are essential to achieve a good look. Additionally, he acknowledged the students’ listening skills in making changes based on the advice given during the Mid Review, and finally their attempt to find a balance between their identity and that of CHB.
