Students from the school of Florence produce the SS24 Campaign for CubaLab
Students from Istituto Marangoni Firenze's Master's program in Fashion Styling, Creative Direction & Digital Content are curating the SS24 social campaign for CubaLab, the sustainable brand project created through a partnership between the Artesania Social Promotion Association and the San Patrignano Design Lab, mentored by Tod's Group.
CubaLab is a brand that aims to create unique products, promoting craftsmanship and environmental sustainability. The idea behind Cuba Lab's philosophy is to create a collection of unique products while respecting craftsmanship and the environment - the products are made by recycling raw materials and upcycling fine fabrics from leading fashion brands. Each bag from the SS24 collection comes with a special certificate of authenticity hand-signed by each of the artisans involved in making these accessories.
Students contributed to the campaign by narrating Cuba Lab's new SS24 collection through digital storytelling techniques such as videos, reels, and animated gifs. Their projects include an exciting black-and-white video with a specially created soundtrack, a series of animated portraits of San Patrignano artisans, and a series of product-focused animated gifs inspired by Cuban culture.
This collaboration testifies to Istituto Marangoni Firenze's commitment to providing its students with practical, hands-on experience in the fashion and crafts industry. It also represents a unique opportunity for students to put into practice the skills they have acquired throughout their studies and actively contribute to the creation of creative content for a brand like CubaLab, which will be disseminated through social channels and the official website.
