Istituto Marangoni Fashion and Design School has participated in the 53rd International Boat Show, held in Genoa from the 2nd October 2013 to the 6th.
For the occasion, twelve students from the Milano School, in the final year of the three-year course in interior design, were involved in an innovative interior design project. During the academic year, this young team of designers, led by marine-industry lecturers and experts from Istituto Marangoni, worked on the design of a spa on the luxury yacht Amer Hundred of PERMARE Shipyard.
Istituto Marangoni students Luis Avila Diaz and Giovanni Pandini are the creators of the winning project, "Water drop - Goccia d'acqua", a unique synergy of luxury, functionality and elegance, inspired by world-renowned brand Made in Italy, with a focus on human well-being through water.
The project is a partnership between the Istituto Marangoni and Studio Asia, Permare Group, Modus Services & Resources and UCINA.
“Working closely with industry professionals is a decisive stimulus for our students and for their professional futures. Direct cooperation with companies in fashion and design has always been a strong point of Istituto Marangoni’s, distinguishing us in the market and giving our courses an additional value,” says Massimo Zanatta, future director of the School of Design in Milano, due to open in February 2014.
