Etro Home Interiors, a new interior design industry project
Etro Home Interiors, a new interior design industry project
How to imagine an environment where technology, Italian savoir fair, and iconic ETRO patterns come together to redefine a new living space? This is the challenge of the new Industry Project launched to third-year students of the Interior Design at the Istituto Marangoni Milano • The School of Design for Etro Home Interiors.
With a focus on new technologies, the task of aspiring interior designers is to create spaces that not only reflect Etro's distinctive aesthetic but also enhance the living experience by taking them to new levels of comfort and connectivity through an innovative and disruptive approach.
Etro is a well-known luxury brand founded in Milan in 1968. Its Home Interiors division, led by Creative Director Marco De Vincenzo, is renowned for its elaborate patterns, fine fabrics, and eclectic colour palette ranging from earthy tones to vibrant shades of blue and green, as well as floral and geometric patterns. The designs incorporate vintage influences with an innovative and appealing aesthetic characterised by maximalism and elegance.
The use of Etro Home Interiors fabrics and materials is a crucial aspect of the project, which aims to create a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere. The students are encouraged to explore unique prints and patterns and use them to develop innovative interior design solutions that align with the brand's identity, contemporary trends, and cutting-edge technologies, creating designs that look towards the future of interior design.
The project's ultimate goal is to provide an engaging digital experience through an application or interface. This platform will allow users to explore and customise their living spaces using Etro's distinctive products. This aspect not only embraces the future of living but also embodies the creativity of Istituto Marangoni's young talents.
