Avat'ar Lab, the Mentorship Programme with Francesco Bernabei, CEO & Founder of Monogrid, which involved students from the Master's in Fashion Styling, Creative Direction & Digital Content, has come to an end. The programme challenged learners to design a Fashion Avatar in 3D, create Virtual Styling using the CLO3D platform and carry out an AR filters/animation simulation.

The objective was to allow them to explore the emerging field of digital fashion by allowing them to demonstrate their skills on several fronts, including creativity, style, technique and design. The biggest challenge was to use 3D modelling technologies for virtual fabrics and textures to make them look as realistic as possible. 

During the last event, the winners of the Mentorship Programme were revealed and acknowledged for their outstanding creativity, innovation, and technical skills. The best projects selected for AR Experiences were those of Yidan Lu and Daniela Gonzalez; for Avatars, Bingqian Lu, Francesca Maria Pallucca, Jimena Puente, Patricia Alexandra Morais Frade, Ji Won Lee, Rachel Xuanying. Finally, a special mention was awarded to Alessandro Annunziata, Tz Hung Tai Ziggy and Yun Wang for their outstanding contribution in the context of avatar design.

The best projects will be exhibited in the Istituto Marangoni Metaverse.
