Aimed at students with at least one year of previous undergraduate study in fashion design, photography, or a related field, the course encourages participants to deepen their knowledge in both design and visualisation.

Cross-Disciplinary Fashion Exploration: Redefining Creativity for the future designers
This semester-long course at Istituto Marangoni Milano offers an interdisciplinary approach, combining fashion design, styling, and photography. Targeted at students with at least one year of undergraduate study, the course focuses on developing skills in visual storytelling, fashion collection creation, and technical proficiency. Students will explore the work of renowned fashion photographers, develop unique visual languages, and create digital surface designs and patterns using industry-standard software. They will also master 2D and 3D pattern-making, garment construction, and virtual prototyping.
The course includes technical training in digital design tools and CLO3D software for producing high hand digital fashion garments, as well as experimentation with surface design techniques. Additionally, students will analyze the influence of contemporary fashion styles on publications and gain practical experience in art direction, culminating in planning and executing a fashion photo shoot. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with a versatile skill set, preparing them for careers as designers, stylists, and art directors within the fashion industry.

Emphasizing both traditional and modern techniques, students will master two-dimensional pattern-making while also gaining skills in 3D virtual garment prototyping, allowing for efficient visualization and design iteration. - Digital Surface Design and Pattern Creation
Through hands-on projects, students will learn to create intricate digital surface designs and repeating patterns using advanced software. This will allow them to enhance their fashion collections with innovative print designs. - Visual Storytelling in Fashion Photography
