DUBAI
How to re-connect humans to nature via design? This short courses provides an introduction to a sustainable approach to interior design, focusing on wellness design practices, biophilic design, feng shui principles, regenerative architecture and eco-friendly materials.
Participants will embrace a circular approach to design, to conceive spaces that are “human centred”, respectful of the environment and aimed at enhancing people’s wellbeing, focus capabilities and mental health.
Starting from creative research to foster personal inspiration, the course introduces sketching for interiors and design methods followed by an analysis of the founding principles of conscious interior design. Participants are then introduced to the knowledge of materials for interiors with a focus on sustainability and health, color harmony, nature-based design solutions, regenerative design principles which are beneficial to the ecosystem and to people.
Based on inspiration linked to a selected theme, participants put into practice the acquired knowledge from the previous week about the principles of conscious design, eventually developing an interior design project for wellbeing, supported by appropriate technical information, colour charts, materials and mood board. Participants understand how physical environments influence behaviour and will be given practical tools to create spaces that positively affect behaviours, mindsets and habits.
