Matteo Agati is an Italian product designer, after obtaining a degree at Politecnico di Milano he graduated in a Master's degree course in Italian Product Design in 2016 at Istituto Marangoni Milano Design School.

After an educational experience in Sweden, Matteo developed the concept of "multidisciplinary contamination." In 2015, he returned to Milan, where he founded the Matteo Agati Design Studio and won the first prize in the "Sit Down! Contest" with the lounge chair "Pagh" for Cappellini. The following year, he won the Rado Star Italia award and the Elle Decor + TID contest. In 2019, he collaborated with the international fashion brand Off-White alongside Virgil Abloh. In 2020, Matteo was involved in an important collaboration with Campari Soda as one of the 3 designers selected for the development of a capsule collection. He currently collaborates with companies in the furniture and lighting design sector and works as a creative consultant and artistic director for Italian and international studios and brands. He has contributed to the realization of important exhibitions such as "Culture as a Mirror of Society" at CULT&MUST - Superstudio (2021), "Discover the Future" and "Explore Cappellini Multiverse" at Istituto Marangoni Milano Design (2022), and "Design Show" and "Mirage Expansion" (2023).

Matteo is a tutor at Milano Design School and a member of the Prisma Project, the I'M Alumni Community Group that gathers young talented designers from the school and promotes their collaboration with prestigious design firms.
