Marc Sweeney, I'M Alumus of the Master' program in Product Design at Istituto Marangoni London, who graduated in 2022, is a product designer and founder of his namesake furniture design studio.

Marc's interest in design began at an early age spending time in his father’s workshops, a skilled wooden boat builder by trade. He began his creative training by studying Fine Art in Scotland after which he pursued a career as a filmmaker. He then chose to follow his passion for design and enrolled in the Product Design Master program at Istituto Marangoni London in 2022.

During his time spent in London he had the opportunity of assisting world renowned furniture designer Max Lamb.
As of 2023, he returned home to Scotland, in Loch Lomond, to open his own design studio practice. His work is routed in a thorough investigation into materials, processes and the pre-loaded narratives they hold. Marc's work has been published in several design publications both in print and online such as Dezeen, Surface Design and Wallpaper. Notably, he has received acclaim for his thorough research and contemporary vision on the Orkney chair.
