Agac
Mahmut Agac is a designer of Turkish origin specialising in Fashion Design and Accessories Design alike. His experience embraces a spectrum of abilities ranging from creativity to business management, and he is constantly on the go with open eyes for new specializations and inspirations. Soon after completing his arts degree in Turkey, Agac moved to Milano and chose Istituto Marangoni to attend a Master’s course in Fashion Design Menswear first, and then further specialize in Luxury Accessories Design & Management with another master’s, once again at Istituto Marangoni. He has recently started working as Senior Designer for menswear apparel and accessories at Dolce & Gabbana, yet his career is dotted with important collaborations with prestigious companies in the fashion industry, including Berluti French footwear and accessories fashion house, where he worked as a pattern designer for VIP customers, and Araldi 1930 Italian luxury brand, in the position of menswear designer. His creative talent has been rewarded on a number of occasions. In 2013, he ranked third in a major design competition organized by Aeagen Exporters Association and sponsored by Vogue Turkey; in 2015, instead, he won the coveted Menswear Award as an apt conclusion to the Master’s programme organized by Istituto Marangoni & Ermenegildo Zegna which he had successfully attended. Finally, his extendable briefcase ‘M’agnolia’ won the ‘A Design Award’ 2016-2017 in the Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design category.
