Felipe
Fiallo
Originally from Ecuador, Felipe Fiallo is a sustainable footwear designer, internationally recognized for his radical eco-futuristic vision and technical approach to his creations.
After graduating in 2019 in MA Luxury Accessories Design & Management at Istituto Marangoni Firenze, Felipe immediately launched his eponymous brand Felipe Fiallo on the catwalks of Altaroma.
Just one year after his debut, Felipe developed a capsule collection of eco-futuristic digital technology shoes that led him to win the prestigious ITS Fondazione Ferragamo and ITS People's Choice Awards.
Featured in prestigious newspapers and magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, I-D, L’Officiel, Forbes and BOF, Felipe has been recognized not only for his focus on sustainability, but also for his use of digital and innovative technology.
Indeed, in 2022, he made his first debut in Decentraland with Karl Lagerfeld and, since then, Felipe has often presented his works using phygital tools.
Felipe's dedication to research pushed him to develop in 2021 six new technologies for the industry, which include his groundbreaking innovation of 3D printed outsoles, patented in 2023.
The employment of these innovative materials and techniques in his Eco-Futuristic Collection F/W23 was key to his winning of the MICAM Emerging Designer Award for the second time in 2023, after his first win in 2022.
Recently, he has been selected by the innovative digital platform SYKY to be one of the visionary and digital-native designers of the SYKY Collective Incubator. The program, driven by SYKY and the British Fashion Council, is aimed at empowering the next 10 luxury designer that are deemed to revolutionize the industry through technology and creativity.
Felipe is an active member of the I’M Community and has often collaborated with Istituto Marangoni both as a tutor for the innovative “Future of Fashion Lab” at Istituto Marangoni Firenze, as well as an ambassador of the School values in the world.
