Jun Zhou attended two Masters in Fashion Design Menswear, the first at Istituto Marangoni in Milano, where he graduated in 2013, and the second one at the London College of Fashion in 2015. During his Italian studies, the Chinese designer also collaborated with Ermenegildo Zegna for a brand new collection. In 2014, he won the first prize at Audi Star Creation Award whilst had his first capsule collection released in Singapore Fashion Week in 2015. In 2016 Jun Zhou is back in Milan when he met his compatriot Yushan Li who had already collaborated with John Galliano and Lane Crawford and he had worked as a menswear designer for Yeezy in Los Angeles. In the same year, the two designers co-founded PRONOUNCE based in both Milan and Shanghai, combining west aesthetics with east heritage and creating a handcrafted sophisticated modern style that overcomes genders’ differences and stereotypes, pushing the boundaries of the genderless concept. From London to Milan, through Shanghai, the two designers share the same desire: to be always one step ahead, searching for special energy that only these metropolises can give. Their sensitive designed are influenced by everyday life, by dance, contemporary art, and music, responding to their feelings in their works. PRONOUNCE debuts on the scene of London Fashion Week Men’s in 2018, through an exclusive fashion show presented by GQ China showing the F/W 2017 Raràmuri collection appeared one year before on Pitti Immagine Uomo 91 catwalks, there it has been awarded The Latest Fashion Buzz Award. The Raràmuri collection also showed at Labelhood during Shanghai Fashion Week and was among the nominee of the Woolmark Prize International in 2017. PRONOUNCE’s aesthetic, inspire and explore contemporary menswear with an abstract and conceptual design. An easy, relaxed and effortless lifestyle, with high-quality fabrics, the craftsmanship on details and high-level of construction, define the DNA of the brand. For two years Jun Zhou was in Forbes “30 under 30” list, the annual rank of entrepreneurs with less than 30 years old. Most recently, the brand debuted at Milan Fashion Week at the beginning of 2024 during Men F/W24/25 and has laucnhed a capsule collection with the sneaker brand CLOT.
