Luca Valentini
Born in Puglia in 1988, Giovanni Luca has been nurturing his creativity since childhood. He moves to Milano in 2007 to study Fashion Design at Istituto Marangoni. Upon his graduation cum laude in 2010, he is one of the three finalists of the Swarowski Element Award 2010 thanks to his dreamlike and light outfits,. That same year he wins the scholarship offered by Giorgio Armani Spa to attend the Master’s course in Fashion Accessories at Istituto Marangoni. After a brief job experience as style office assistant at Bottega Veneta, in 2012 Giovanni Luca joins Dolce&Gabbana’s creative team, specializing in leathergoods design. From December 2014, he works as men’s accessories designer for Saint Laurent, in charge of leathergoods collection and pre-collection development, and as a consultant for René Caovilla. In 2016 he is appointed head designer of men’s accessories and leather goods for the Italian luxury brand Furla. In 2019, he was promoted to Art Director and leader of men’s communication & marketing projects. In 2020 he joins Coccinelle as Collection Coordinator & Senior Designer. In this role he is in charge of managing the full development flow for each collection as the main contact point between the merchandising and design departments.
