Milano Moda Donna: an International Stage for Seven Alumni
Running from 22nd to 27th February, Milano Moda Donna will welcome seven among the most talented alumni of Istituto Marangoni, which since 1935 has trained the best professionals in fashion and design, four generations of students from over 100 countries, including the brilliant designers who are going to be showing off their collections on Milan catwalks: Rodolfo Paglialunga for Jil Sander, Maurizio Pecoraro, Alberto Zambelli, Lucio Vanotti, Daizy Shely, and Ricostru – selected by Camera Nazionale della Moda to be supported as emerging brands.
Also Paula Cademartori’s brand, recently acquired by Renzo Rosso Group, will feature within the official fashion shows schedule with its valued latest collection.
In addition to these emerging talents, the event will host those who have now become the ambassadors of Italian excellence in the fashion world: Maison Moschino, whose founder and creative genius kicked off his career at Istituto Marangoni, and Domenico Dolce, who attended the School before embarking on a career that brought him together with Stefano Gabbana to found the famous Dolce&Gabbana fashion house.
This is a qualitatively and numerically important achievement which reaffirms the role of Istituto Marangoni as an international leader in fashion education, since each of these talents is the greatest expression of the School’s Method, which has pivoted, for eighty years, around fundamental values such as internationality, the enhancement of genius loci, the relationship with the fashion industry and a teaching staff consisting of first-rate professionals.
