TEILEN
On 27th September, Roberto Riccio, Group Managing Director of Istituto Marangoni, and Daizy Shely, young Israeli designer and Istituto Marangoni Milano Alumna, took part in “A Conversation With”, a cycle of seminars held in the wonderful backdrop of Palazzo Morando by outstanding personalities in the fashion system as part of Who’s on Next?, the fashion event organised by Vogue Italia and Altaroma. From the School’s commitment to nurturing young talents through avant-garde tools in order to help them spark their creativity, to the need for a bridge between design and management, during the talk Roberto Riccio focused in particular on the Istituto Marangoni method, genuine example of Made In Italy excellence – today, as in the past – attained through an innovative approach, always keeping in mind that “fashion is created pencil in hand.” Roberto Riccio also introduced the new ambitious projects of Istituto Marangoni, such as the opening of The New School of Fashion, Art & Design in Firenze, as well as 10 new Training Centres in emerging fashion & design capitals across the globe. Engaging, unconventional, and bold, just as her distinguishing style,  Daizy Shely, winner of 'Who’s on next?' in 2014, shared her personal experience at Istituto Marangoni, highlighting, in turn, how it is important for a fashion professional to not separate creativity from the commercial dimension. Daizy then referred to her winning choice of studying in Italy, since this has tweaked the interest of major companies in the fashion business from all over the world.
