“the value of creativity in fashion”
Istituto Marangoni fashion design lecturer Diana Murek will hold 3 seminars in India. “Then Is Now… the value of creativity in fashion today” is the title of the enlightening lecture that she is delivering in Pune, Mumbai, and Bengaluru throughout September.
Murek’s lectures focus on the search for inspiration and its integration into the creative process as a crucial aspect of a fashion designer’s work. The seminars analyse the process of “learning” creativity by visualizing the cyclical nature of fashion, as well as the importance of being educated about fashion to comprehensively understand it.
Today's fashion trends and collections are often based on historical references and sources of inspiration. There is a deep connection between fashion designers and the creative research that goes on behind the scenes before they come up with a collection.
German fashion designer and journalist Diana Marian Murek has stacked up a series of enviable experiences in her career since she moved to Milano in 1998, including significant collaborations with Fashion companies such as Wolford and Francesco Scognamiglio. In 2003, she started to teach fashion design at Istituto Marangoni Milano, and later on she developed her professional role working also in the fashion styling and fashion business departments.
