Iryna Demyanchuk is the 2017 Global Designer of the Year. The talented student from the Paris School of Fashion has been awarded a full scholarship to attend a Master’s Course in Fashion Design at Istituto Marangoni. Iryna, 23 years old, was born in Chernivtsi, a little town in Ukraine, and has always been an art and fashion enthusiast. After graduating in his school, she chose to study fashion design. According to her, it was the best choice of her life: clothing design is a way to express her creativity, and ultimately herself. Fabrics, buttons, tiny details: everything can inspire her to create something beautiful. She always dreamt of studying and living in Paris, one of the world’s capitals of fashion, elegance and luxury. She achieved her dream by enrolling in Istituto Marangoni Paris, where she attended the three-year undergraduate course in Fashion Design. Her graduate collection “Gold Sport” is a beautiful mix of two different cultures: French elegance and America’s informal style. Inspired by tennis menswear of the 1930s, her collection successfully combines classical elements with the modern sportswear trend. Iryna presented her collection at Pitti Immagine 92 in Florence, at the International Catwalk Competition within London Graduate Fashion Week 2017, and at the 2017 Paris Fashion Show, where she was awarded Designer of the Year. Then she had the chance to showcase her beautiful outfits in an exclusive Fashion Show in Mumbai, within the New Mumbai School Grand Opening: here, Roberto Riccio, Group Managing Director of Istituto Marangoni, awarded her as Global Designer of the Year, the best fashion design student.
