‘Enigma’ house in malibu

Elizaveta Kudryavtseva was born in Moscow in 1992 and has always been interested in Art and Design. She is currently attending the three-year Interior Design course at Istituto Marangoni Milano School of Design and her dream is to share with others, through her projects, her personal sense of beauty,  so mysterious yet sensual, always stretching towards infinity. Elizaveta Kudryavtseva carried out a curricular project for the interior design of a house in Malibu, California. The title, “Enigma” refers to the diverse features of what has mainly inspired her work: Water, an element that is wild and pure at the same time. When there is talk about Malibu, two things come to our mind: one of these is undoubtedly the vastness of the Ocean embracing the city on the opposite side of the mountains. Ocean is something unpredictable to Elizaveta, totally free and full of secrets. Water, so fluid and gentle, can become stormy and cloudy in a moment: in this perspective, the “Enigma” House is all about introspection. Its interior design stands out with basic lines in contrast with bold cuts which recall the unevenness of waves. Ambiguity and vagueness are conveyed, instead, through the materials used, from the wallpaper to marble, which, combined with furnishings in the colours gray (mist) and gold (sun), reiterate the enigmatic quality of Nature’s most mysterious element: Man?
