A FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND RECRUITMENT DRIVE BY INDITEX IN A FASHION INSTITUTE IN MUMBAI
The Mumbai campus was honored to welcome representatives from Inditex, the esteemed parent company of ZARA. The global fashion giant had come down to the campus to scout and recruit from among the many up-and-coming talents of fashion, to hire for the coveted position of becoming a product manager for Zara in Spain.
HOW WAS THE RECRUITMENT DAY STRUCTURED?
The day began with an engaging presentation from Inditex, providing an overview of their extensive brand portfolio, including Zara, Massimo Dutti, Oysho, and others, as well as the critical skill sets that would be required for the role.
Students from one of the top fashion schools in Mumbai were then taken through a personalized recruitment process, being carefully assessed through one-on-one interviews. Inditex representatives evaluated candidates based on their skills in merchandising, their ability to be creative, and their innovative approaches to fashion. This evaluation allowed the company to handpick top talents who align with the fast-paced, cutting-edge demands of their global operations. The one-on-one interview format gave students a chance to present their unique visions and gain invaluable feedback from seasoned industry professionals.
