On March 4th, 2025, Istituto Marangoni Mumbai witnessed a display of strategic brilliance as its Fashion Business students participated in the prestigious "Through the Lens" Cartier Inter School competition. This initiative challenged students to reimagine luxury for the next generation, reflecting Cartier's commitment to engaging with young minds. The competition saw Mumbai students excel, with team "Les Visionnaires" emerging as the triumphant winners.
The "Through the Lens" challenge, focused on the Indian market, tasked students with crafting a business proposal to enhance Cartier's connection with Gen Z and Alpha consumers. Fashion Business second year students Esha Vartak and Ekeesha Gill, comprising the winning team "Les Visionnaires," presented a proposal that demonstrated a profound understanding of the Indian market and a visionary approach to luxury. Their presentation, a masterclass in strategic thinking, impressed the jury with innovative strategies and a compelling design concept.
Fashion Business students, divided into competitive teams, analyzed the Indian luxury landscape. Their mission included proposing client loyalty strategies and designing a bespoke piece for the Indian market. The jury, featuring industry leaders from Istituto Marangoni and Cartier, evaluated each presentation.
The competition offered prizes, including Cartier certificates and a networking lunch with Cartier. The winning team will also collaborate with Cartier's Gen Z Observatory in 2025, contributing to a global magazine and networking with Cartier employees.
