Istituto Marangoni Firenze is proud to present ‘The Witness’, the annual Fashion Show that promises to redefine the traditional concept of a fashion show. The event is scheduled for 13 June 2024 at 7 p.m. in the elegant setting of Palazzo Ximènes Panciatichi in the city centre of Florence. It represents the culmination of the three-year journey of the 10 best students of the Fashion Design & Accessories programme.

‘The Witness’ is not just a fashion show, but an immersive experience that transforms the audience from mere spectators to active participants in the creative process. 

The traditional catwalk concept is deconstructed to blend performance and exhibition. The event will open with a tableau vivant, a composition inspired by painting and figurative arts, where guests will be actively involved in observing the collections as a single harmonious element. The show will culminate with the break-up of the tableau vivant, symbolising the end of a creative chapter and the beginning of new horizons.

Each collection will be presented with a unique styling, grooming and performance style, highlighting each designer's unique identity and creating ten distinct and fascinating worlds.

This year, the use of advanced technologies and digital innovation will be key to exploring the concept of each collection. The main focuses include knitwear, menswear, research into innovative materials, technological innovation and sustainability.

For the first time, students from different courses have collaborated to support the creation of content and the organisation of the event and exhibition, emphasising the Florence School’s interdisciplinary approach.

Chargeurs PCC, a leader in the production of interlining and internal components for garments by the most important clothing brands, supplied the materials and provided specialised training for the students of Istituto Marangoni to create outfits for the fashion show. Again this year, Istituto Marangoni continues its collaboration with Monacelli Italy and The House of Hair, technical sponsors for grooming and make-up for the Florence school’s fashion show.
