During Pitti Immagine Uomo 93, from January 8th to 12th, 2018, the Firenze School of Fashion & Art will open its doors for a week of special events, reaffirming Istituto Marangoni’s crucial role in a city like Florence, that has a deep connection to fashion, art and culture. Within the school in via de’ Tornabuoni, Istituto Marangoni will host a series of fashion talks with some of the most renowned professionals in fashion and art. On Monday, January 8th, at 6pm, Alessandro Bastagli, CEO of A. At 7pm, there will be a cocktail to celebrate the new edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo. On January 9th, at 4pm, Francesca Tavanti, who manages the relationship with universities and institutions at Schermo dell’Arte Film Festival and who was also one of the special guests at the latest IMAC session in Florence, will talk about the connection between art and fashion, while at 5 pm Stefania Ricci, director of the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, will hold the lecture “Describing the heritage to build the future”. On January 10th, at 4pm, Svenja Niessen, WW Licensing and Categories Merchandising Consultant, and Luca Bertozzi, Digital Transformation Consultant, will talk about the evolution and challenges in the relationship between fashion and technology. On January 11th, at 4pm, Francesca Sorgato, lecturer at Istituto Marangoni, will hold a special seminar on Fashion Semiology. On January 12th, at 3pm, digital artist Felice Limosani will talk about his experience as a new media artist during a lecture on “How to be creative with fantasy”. Lectures have limited seats: reserve yours by sending an email to events.firenze@istitutomarangoni.com specifying in the subject line which lectures you wish to attend. At the end of each event, Istituto Marangoni’s admission team will be available to answer questions and to have individual orientation meetings.
