Istituto Marangoni London • The School of Fashion recently hosted a prestigious 'Meet The Buyer' event on behalf of the British government's 'Department for International Trade'. The DIT encourages the best companies from overseas to trade with and buy from UK brands, investing in entrepreneurial businesses. Over 100 1-2-1 meetings took place over the two days, showcasing some of the most current UK-based designers including Fyodor Golan, Mariana Jungmann, Hudson Shoes, Jessica Russell Flint, Lisa King and Boardies Apparel. Designers showcased their portfolios and outfits for forthcoming seasons, as well as new accessories including sunglasses, handbags and shoes. Fashion Buyers came from around the world including Sweden, Germany, USA, Canada and Australia representing companies such as Manor, Lambert & Associates, Harvey Nichols and Care of Carl. During the two day event, delegates had the opportunity to network with one another, as well as confirming business deals. It's part of a series of fashion industry events taking place at  Istituto Marangoni London • The School of Fashion to raise industry awareness and encourage the development of trade and strengthening relationships.
