Already a global presence, Istituto Marangoni proudly opened the doors of its new campus in the UAE with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 30th, attended by local authorities and representatives from the school’s academic and management team. The new campus covers a 1,050-square-metre space in Gate 8 of Dubai’s thriving financial district DIFC, already bustling with business activities and cultural life. With schools in Milan, Florence, London, Paris, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Mumbai and Miami, the Dubai school will bring the number of campuses worldwide to nine.

A first-of-its-kind event will take place in mid-September at one of Dubai’s most recent, high-tech venues to celebrate the grand opening. Involving top-of-the-class Istituto Marangoni graduates, details of the experience will soon be unveiled.

After two years of planning, the new campus seeks to address a currently underserved market, bringing a fashion and design-focused vertical offering to the area of Dubai. A pioneer in the region, the first international Fashion and Design school aims to inspire emerging talent in the Middle East, allowing students to acquire all the skills, tools and knowledge required to carve out successful careers in the creative industry. The institution set itself the ambitious goal of bridging different cultures, Italian design excellence and rich local heritage, honing the skills of budding designers, with particular attention to the new generations of Arab women.

Istituto Marangoni Dubai offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses spanning Fashion, Design, Business and Styling, Interior Design, Product Design and Visual Design. With a highly qualified pool of teachers and mentors from Italy and a hands-on approach, students will gain all the skills required to translate their talent into a successful career. Dubai courses will start in September 2022 and mirror the offering provided at the Milan school, including short and executive courses for local professionals blending online and face-to-face learning. Graduates from the Dubai School will obtain a diploma validated by the Ministry of Education and valid in all Arab countries.

In line with the school’s philosophy of building strong links between its campuses, students in Dubai will join an international community and be able to spend one or more years at sister venues.
