Istituto Marangoni Firenze has announced an extraordinary partnership for the academic year 2023/24, welcoming Luca Lin, founder and creative director of ACT N°1, as the new Mentor for fashion programmes.

Founded in 2016 in Reggio Emilia, ACT N°1 quickly caught the attention of the press, winning the 2017 Who Is On Next? competition for young talents promoted by AltaRoma and Vogue Italia. The following year, the brand gained international recognition when Vogue America included it among the eight brands redefining contemporary fashion.

The brand’s refined and contemporary aesthetic has continued to attract attention, with Pier Paolo Piccioli selecting them for the Support Young Designers project in collaboration with the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana in 2022. As part of the project, the Spring-Summer 2023 runway show of ACT N°1 was broadcast live on Valentino's Instagram channel.

ACT N°1 has not only managed to grab the attention of the fashion industry, but also the interest of stylists and celebrities, from Beyoncé, who donned one of its dresses for the Tiffany & Co. Summer Renaissance campaign, to Lizzo, Dua Lipa, Sharon Stone, Lady Gaga, Zara Larsson, Ellie Goulding, and Rita Ora.

"With this mentorship, I hope to impart my personal approach but, above all, my values. A designer today must not only create a collection but also have an important message to communicate," said Luca Lin, who will begin mentoring the students starting in the second semester.

This partnership further strengthens Istituto Marangoni Firenze's commitment to providing high-quality education to its students, preparing them to face challenges and opportunities in the ever-evolving fashion industry.
