Created in 1868 under the name « Chambre Syndicale de la Couture, des Confectionneurs et des Tailleurs pour Dame », the FHCM’s mission today is to promote fashion internationally and consolidate Paris reputation as the world's fashion capital. More concretely, the FHCM provides its members and emerging labels with information, advice and an innovative network of partnerships. The FHCM aims to prepare and help the young designers and emerging fashion brands of tomorrow, while ensuring the reputation of French brands and their international visibility.
Serge Carreira, as Director of Emerging Brands Initiative at FHCM, is committed to being at the forefront of innovation in fashion luxury and be bold in a fast-moving, globalizing world.
Before joining FHCM, Serge Carreira began his career at Galeries Lafayette and subsequently held positions with prestigious brands such as Prada, Miu Miu or Mary Kantrantzou.
Since 2005, he has also taught an introductory course on fashion and luxury at Science Po, all experiences that make his career and his point of view on fashion relevant.
