Istituto Marangoni and Ermanno Scervino reward talent. Six of the best Fashion Design students will participate in the Pattern Making advanced course starting on September 4, 2017 in Firenze, sponsored by the owner of the eponymous fashion house, who has also been recently appointed as Brand Ambassador of Istituto Marangoni Firenze • The School of Fashion & Art. Drawing attention to a profession that seems rather neglected in the fashion scene, the pattern-maker, yet with the main aim of enhancing students’ talent by offering them advanced skills and valuable tools in the reference field, Istituto Marangoni, in collaboration with Ermanno Scervino, has established an internal committee to select and reward young talents from the Fashion Design course. The latter will benefit from a full scholarship to participate in the Pattern Cutting Advanced Course, which will be held at The Firenze School of Fashion & Art. The course, which will run from September 4 to October 31, 2017, will cover issues related to the study of fabrics and materials, as well as focus on some relevant aspects of Fashion Drawing. In line with the popular Marangoni method, which involves alternating theoretical lessons and real-world practice, the course also includes workshops and a company visit, in order to offer a complete overview of the Pattern Cutting world, thus responding to the market needs of companies operating in the fashion industry, which are increasingly in demand of professionals such as pattern-makers, as well as enhancing the talent of promising students through the development of specific skills.
