On Friday, 13th September evening, in the heart of the glamour capital of India, Istituto Marangoni Mumbai, the prestigious Italian fashion and design school in Mumbai, presented its 2024 fashion showcase, "ऐक्यम् (Aikyam)", a vibrant display of creativity and talent by its fashion design students.

The show's theme titled, "Aikyam", translates to unity, harmony, and identity in Sanskrit, further highlighting the institute's dedication on engaging with worldwide design trends while honouring India's cultural foundations. The collections radiated positivity, optimism, and elegance, reflecting a profound sense of uniqueness and cultural affinity.

THE CREATIVE VISION

As a top destination for those pursuing fashion design programs, the students from this fashion institute in Mumbai, drew inspiration from a myriad of sources - starting from the bustling streets of Mumbai, to Rajasthani regional artforms, and even Portuguese influences on Goan style, transforming them into contemporary, globally aesthetic designs. By revisiting their regional roots and reinterpreting traditional crafts, the students created fresh, trendy collections that not only preserved but also innovated India's rich cultural legacy. Every collection flawlessly merged traditional elements with  current design trends, illustrating the students' individual talent to be able to adapt heritage to modern design.

Speaking about the student showcase, Mr. Tarun Pandey, COO — Istituto Marangoni, Mumbai, said, At Istituto Marangoni Mumbai, we are committed to empowering our students for success in the global markets and business landscape. Responsible innovation is at the core of our approach, ensuring they are prepared for an ever-evolving world. As we navigate the new world, with a renewed focus on craft, experiences, and craftsmanship, we aim to highlight our academic excellence and student achievements on a global platform.”
