A new contest for Fashion Styling students together with DEDEM Italia
A new creative contest has been announced for the Fashion Styling students of Istituto Marangoni Milano • The School of Fashion. Specifically, it involved Fashion Image & Styling Short Course students, who had only three weeks to immerse themselves in the fashion world to analyse images, styles, constructing a total look, and organise a photoshoot.
For the contest, the students used a photobooth that was custom-made for Istituto Marangoni by DEDEM Italia. The aspiring stylists took care of every detail of the project, including the mood board, hair, make-up, and outfits. They even actively participated in each other's photo shoots, becoming models for a day.
The brief encouraged the students to use the DEDEM photobooth to experiment with outputs of different types, ranging from still life to self-portraits. The main challenge they faced was taking half-length photos. This obstacle stimulated their creativity as future stylists, inspiring them to find unique ways to express themselves and tell their story and vision.
