With a degree from Politecnico of Milan and a Master from Istituto Marangoni, Matteo is currently professor at Istituto Marangoni, he collaborates with companies in furniture and lighting design field and as a creative consultant for international studios.
Italian product designer, Matteo elaborates the concept of “Multidisciplinary Contamination” after a formative experience in Sweden. In 2015 he returned to Milan where he founded his own studio - Matteo Agati Design studio - and won the first prize of “Sit Down! Contest” with Pagh, a lounge chair for Cappellini. The following year Matteo won the Rado Star Prize Italy and the Elle Decor + TID contest. In 2018 he also started the teaching activity at IED Milano first and then at Istituto Marangoni, while in 2019 he collaborated with the team of the international fashion brand Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh. Finally, in 2020, Matteo in one of the protagonists of an important collaboration with Campari Soda. He currently collaborates with companies in furniture and lighting design field, he is a creative consultant and art director for Italian and international studios and brands.
