After graduating in Fashion Styling at Istituto Marangoni Paris she began her international career working as Intern at Vogue followed by an internship at Louis Vuitton.

At 26 Ducruet was ready to launch her business and in 2018 she founded her label: Alter.

Since the beginning Alter’s vision include an ideal of tolerance, respect for gender diversity and slow fashion practices indeed the brand is already marked with the Butterfly certification, recognized by Positive Luxury, an organization that allows companies to certify the highest standards of sustainability, best practices in innovation, environmental and social.

In 2022 Pauline debuted at Paris Fashion Week with Alter, presenting the Autumn/Winter women’s collection. The latest collection of Alter Designs Menswear Fall-Winter 2023 - 2014 was presented at Paris Fashion Week and during the years Ducruet’s brand has opened the doors of its pop-up temporary shop in different cities with eco – responsability spirit.
