Villalobos Barrera
Diana Villalobos Barrera is a Mexican designer who is deeply influenced by Asian and Latin American cultures. Having travelled extensively around the world, she has absorbed various styles and influences from the places she visited. She is the creative mind behind Iss Evêglaf, a luxury fashion brand that aims to start debates on important social issues and raise awareness.
Her passion for different cultures and the unknown has led her to explore various parts of the world, including Shanghai, China, where she was awarded the 2016 International Designer of the Year Award. During her professional path, she has worked with emerging designers from all over the world, as well as collaborated with well – know fashion houses such as Stefano Ricci, Orciani and Ermanno Scervino.
Since launching her fashion brand, Diana's designs have been showcased around the world, including Cosmoprof Hong Kong and HAUS YOUNIT art exhibition. She has also participated in charity events, such as fashion shows held in New York to support research on Angelman Syndrome. The name of her brand, Iss Evêglaf, summarizes her mission in a mix of the words Missive – message – and Eglaf – an abstract word that can indicate any idea depending on the context.
