In a recent talk at Istituto Marangoni Paris, Tony Pinville, founder and CEO of Heuritech, met the students, talked about Artificial Intelligence & Creativity in the Luxury and Fashion Industry. This company, created in 2013, which works for brands like Prada or Louis Vuitton, analyses each day more than 3 million social images to give unbiased data to predict future trends.
During the talk, Tony Pinville shared insights into how artificial intelligence predicts future fashion trends by analysing vast amounts of social media imagery. He pointed out that the algorithms are capable of studying millions of details from all around the world to get an overview of the ideal launch timing of a collection. Tony explained to students, “AI can also weigh into hyper-personalization by helping stores to sell more through a better understanding of their customer. And greater knowledge of the public's expectations allows them to reduce stock by adjusting production to what is really in demand”.
This talk provided students with a deep understanding of the applications of AI in the fashion industry, signalling a new era of transformation and opportunities in fashion.
