Among the main requirements for candidates applying to our fashion, art and design schools are academic qualifications and any other academic references. In addition it is advisable to schedule an orientation meeting during which candidates will be interviewed about their previous experiences, aspirations, language skills and real potential for growth. The programmes in English language are subject to specific levels of English proficiency.

Applicants requiring a Tier 4 General visa to study in the UK will be required to present an acceptable proof of their English language proficiency.

Students applying for Foundation, BA and MA courses in the UK, please refer here for the process required to get CAS letter for your Tier 4 General VISA application.

For any information about our fashion and design programmes please do not hesitate to contact the information and orientation office of the selected school.

All applicants will be informed within 15 working days whether their application has been accepted. Any unsuccessful applicants will also receive feedback within the same time-frame.

A selection process will be required for Three years courses/ BA Hons Degree (starting in October 2017) and Masters courses; the Admissions Office of your school will give you all the details during the enrollment process.

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

THREE-YEAR COURSES · BA (HONS) DEGREES

  • For London School only

    Home: completed application form (All full-time UK undergraduate applications applying for programmes at Istituto
    Marangoni London should be made through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service).
    (www.ucas.com/students/apply/). There are two ways to apply:

  • International: completed application form, for all non-UK (EU and International) full time undergraduate applicants, there are three ways to apply:

    • You can apply through UCAS (www.ucas.com/students/apply/). 
    • You can apply to us directly (Insert AOL).
    • You can apply to us via our official agents/ representatives in your country

  • signed personal statement;
  • 2 passport-size photos;
  • copy of a high-school diploma or school certificates (for the three-year courses); or
  • notarized copy of high-school diploma or equivalent certificate** and its official translation in English, if in a language different from English (for the BA (Hons) degree courses at the London and Paris schools);

    Students from the UK are required to have a minimum of 80 UCAS Tariff Points (or equivalent), for example: 2 A-Levels BB or 3 A-Levels CDD and a GCSE pass in English (or equivalent). French students are required to have a baccalauréat. Italian students must have a high-school diploma. All students who pass the Foundation Year in Milano, or the Foundation Year in London (last intake January 2019 in partnership with Study Group), are also eligible to progress.
  • copy of a personal passport;
  • for the London School, applicants requiring a Tier 4 General visa are required to provide an acceptable proof of their English language proficiency;
  • For London and Paris schools, non-native English speakers are required to provide an English language certificate at CEFR Level B2 (IETLS overall score 6.0 without elements below 5.5 or equivalent test or qualification).
  • skill test;
  • an aptitude interview (only for AFAM courses recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education);
  • applicants of creative programmes are requested to submit 6 self-produced Creative Ideas: these can be anything that visually describes their inspiration and the area of study that they have chosen. They can be submitted in the form of sketches, drawings, photographs, moodboards and collages (the 6 creative ideas might also be a mix of these).

FOUNDATION COURSE

  • completed application form;
  • signed personal statement;
  • 2 passport-size photos;
  • notarized copy of High School Diploma or equivalent certificate and its official translation into English, if in a language different than English;
  • copy of a personal passport;
  • for the London School, non-native English speakers are required to provide an acceptable proof of their English language ability. The English language test score should be at least B1 on the CEFR level. Applicants requiring a Tier 4 General visa will be required to present a valid “IELTS for UKVI (academic)”. The minimum score is 5.0, with no component below 4.5.

ONE-YEAR COURSES

  • completed application form;
  • signed personal statement;
  • 2 passport-size photos;
  • copy of a high school diploma or school certificates;
  • copy of a personal passport;
  • students need to have a minimum language score of, or equivalent to B1 CEFR level – only for the Paris and London Schools.

POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

MASTER’S COURSES · MASTER’S DEGREES · CYCLES DE SPÉCIALISATION

  • completed application form;
  • signed personal statement;
  • 2 passport-size photos;
  • curriculum vitae;
  • 2 reference letters;
  • copy of a university diploma or school certificates with academic transcripts (for master course); or
  • notarized photocopy of a graduation diploma and academic transcripts (must be equivalent to a UK bachelor degree) and their official translation in English, if in a language different than English (for the master’s degree courses at the London and Paris schools); ***
  • copy of passport;
  • portfolio (where requested);
  • for the London School, applicants requiring a Tier 4 General visa are required to provide an acceptable proof of their English language proficiency.

*** Applicants may have access to these programmes without a university degree if they have proven work experience in the fashion or design field.
